Wilson County, KS – Semi Collision at US 400 & Jewell RD Results in Injuries

Wilson County, KS (September 12, 2024) – A fatal crash on Wednesday morning at the intersection of US 400 and Jewell RD claimed two lives. Kansas Highway Patrol reported that around 6:35 a.m., a semi-truck turned left onto US 400, failing to yield.

The vehicle driven by Donald Christeson, 76, collided with the semi’s trailer axle. Christeson and his passenger, Teresa Mansfield, 61, were pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was not injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
