North Charleston, SC (September 12, 2024) – A fatal two-vehicle crash late Wednesday night on Rivers AVE left one person dead and another injured. Police arrived around 11:45 p.m. to find a vehicle submerged in a ditch with two individuals trapped inside.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported to a hospital. The other driver, identified as Elder Antonio-Caceres, 31, fled but was later apprehended. He faces multiple charges, including felony DUI and leaving the scene of a fatal collision. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
