Huron County, OH – Two Injured in Pickup Truck and Horse-Drawn Buggy Accident on Baseline Rd

Huron County, OH (September 11, 2024) – Two people sustained serious injuries Tuesday evening after a pickup truck struck their horse-drawn buggy on Baseline Rd near New State Rd. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the 43-year-old driver of the truck failed to give enough clearance and rear-ended the buggy, forcing it off the road.

The buggy’s 16-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger were ejected upon impact and were both hospitalized with serious injuries. The truck driver was not injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, and further details will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
