Huron County, OH (September 11, 2024) – Two people sustained serious injuries Tuesday evening after a pickup truck struck their horse-drawn buggy on Baseline Rd near New State Rd. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the 43-year-old driver of the truck failed to give enough clearance and rear-ended the buggy, forcing it off the road.
The buggy’s 16-year-old driver and 21-year-old passenger were ejected upon impact and were both hospitalized with serious injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
