Rutland, VT (September 11, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, September 11 a pedestrian was injured in a crash on Woodstock Avenue near Gleason Road, leading to a temporary road closure. The Rutland City Police Department responded to the incident around 5 a.m., providing immediate aid to the injured individual. Following initial treatment, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Due to the severity of the injuries, the person was later transferred to the University of Vermont Medical Center for further care. Woodstock Avenue was closed from Stratton Road to Gleason Road for several hours while the scene was cleared but reopened later in the afternoon.
