Meridian, ID (September 10, 2024) – Early Saturday, September 7 Juan Martinez Rojas, 23, was fatally struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred as he crossed the westbound lanes of I-84 near mile marker 45. Rojas died at the scene from traumatic blunt force injuries.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office has officially ruled the event as an accident. Rojas, a Caldwell resident, was identified by the coroner over the weekend following the tragic event. Idaho State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
