Barry Twp, MN (September 9, 2024) – A four-vehicle collision occurred Sunday morning on I-35, north of Hinkley, due to stopped traffic in a construction zone. A Ford F-150, driven by Benjamin Ratke, 24, rear-ended a Honda Ridgeline, sparking a chain reaction.

The Ridgeline’s driver, Bonita Beste, 53, along with passengers Eric Beste, 52, and Achille and Jacob Franko, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health in Sandstone. Other vehicles involved included a Mazda CX-90 and a GMC K1500, though no additional injuries were reported. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
