Fountain, CO (September 9, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, September 8 a severe multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 near Fountain resulted in one death and another person injured. The collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. near mile marker 123 in the southbound lanes, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Trooper Gabriel Moltrer reported that multiple vehicles were involved, leading to significant southbound lane closures for over five hours. The highway reopened shortly after 10 a.m.
