Tamaqua, PA (September 9, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a pickup truck early Monday morning near 1299 E Broad St in Tamaqua. The incident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. close to St. Luke’s Wound Care Management Center. The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office pronounced the victim deceased at 6:08 a.m. at the scene.

Authorities have not released the identity of the male victim as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
