Venice, FL – Fatal Crash with Injuries at U.S. 41 and Seminole Dr

Venice, FL (September 9, 2024) – A devastating collision occurred Sunday, September 8, at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Seminole Dr, claiming two lives. The incident happened around 1:20 p.m. when a sedan traveling north collided with a sports vehicle heading east. Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, resulting in the sports car hitting the sedan’s left side.

The force of the collision caused the sedan to crash into a traffic control cabinet. Sadly, the 37-year-old driver and a passenger in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene. A backseat passenger in the sedan suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Both occupants of the sports car, aged 80, sustained serious injuries and were also taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities are continuing their investigation, and more information is expected as the inquiry progresses.
