Upper Marlboro, MD (September 8, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian crash occurred early this morning on US-301 (Crain Hwy) at Croom Rd in Prince George’s County. Maryland State Police reported the incident just after 5:30 a.m.
The pedestrian, involved in an earlier accident, entered the roadway and was struck by a northbound Ford. The driver of the Ford was unharmed. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene; identification is pending family notification.
Northbound lanes on US-301 were closed for investigation. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is examining the cause of the incident, with updates expected as the investigation continues.
