Washington County, MO – Fatal Injuries in Two-Vehicle Accident on MO-21 Near Gildea Rd

Washington County, MO (September 6, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident occurred on Thursday, September 5, on Missouri 21 near Gildea Rd, resulting in a fatality and serious injuries.

Charlette A. Schloemer, 73, was driving northbound in a Chevrolet Equinox when her vehicle collided head-on with a southbound Toyota pickup driven by a 17-year-old male. Schloemer was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroner. The juvenile driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide further updates as the inquiry progresses.
