Omaha, NE – Fatal Four-Vehicle Accident with Injuries on Dodge St near 62nd St

Omaha, NE (September 5, 2024) – A woman tragically died in a four-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, September 4 on Dodge St near the University of Nebraska Omaha. Authorities identified the victim as 69-year-old Vickie Avant, who was driving a Hyundai Tucson when it was struck by a Mustang driven by 23-year-old Terrell Turner. 

Turner’s erratic lane changes caused the Mustang to hit Avant’s vehicle, pushing it into oncoming traffic, where it collided with two more vehicles. Robert Lindeman, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the crash, and charges are pending as the inquiry continues.
