Shiawassee County, MI – Two Killed in Head-On Collision on Byron Rd Near Cole Rd

Shiawassee County, MI (September 5, 2024) – A couple from Byron tragically died in a head-on collision on Tuesday evening along Byron Rd near Cole Rd. Michigan State Police report that the crash occurred around 9 p.m. when a 68-year-old man driving a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Both the Malibu driver and his 58-year-old female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The 53-year-old man driving the pickup truck was transported to the hospital, where he is in good condition.
