Gentry, MO (September 4, 2024) – A serious accident occurred Tuesday, September 3, on Route O, west of Route B, involving a horse and buggy and a Chevrolet Traverse. At around 7:30 p.m., the Chevrolet, driven by Cody Adwell, 45, rear-ended a horse and buggy operated by Freeman Miller, 21, both traveling westbound near Ravenwood, MO.
The impact ejected Miller from his buggy, causing serious injuries. He was transported by Grand River Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. The horse and buggy were completely destroyed and removed from the scene by the owner. The Chevrolet sustained moderate damage and was secured on the roadside for later towing.
Authorities are still investigating the accident to determine the exact cause. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
