Pettis, MO (September 4, 2024) – A two-vehicle accident on Tuesday, September 3, on US 65 at Rebar Rd resulted in serious injuries. The crash occurred at 7:02 p.m. when a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by David Cosurco, 21, from Hughesville, MO, failed to stop at a red light and struck a 1991 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Charles Lawson, 62, of Sedalia, MO.

The impact caused the Suburban to veer off the road and hit a light pole. Lawson sustained serious injuries and was transported to Bothwell Hospital by EMS. Both vehicles suffered extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
