Findlay, OH (September 3, 2024) – A serious accident on State Route 15 near mile post 18 resulted in a life-threatening injury Tuesday morning, September 3. According to Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. in Jackson Township.
A 2003 Ford Focus, traveling westbound, lost control, over-corrected twice, and crossed into oncoming traffic. The vehicle collided head-on with a 2022 Freightliner. The Ford Focus driver was ejected and sustained life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders life-flighted the driver to a nearby hospital.
The Freightliner driver was not injured. Initially, the crash closed all lanes, but by 9 a.m., only the right lane remained closed. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the accident and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
