Austin, TX (September 3, 2024) – A fatal auto-pedestrian accident occurred early Tuesday morning in downtown Austin near I-35 and 8th St. Austin-Travis County EMS reported that the incident happened around 5:30 a.m., resulting in a complete shutdown of the northbound mainlanes.
