El Paso County, CO (September 3, 2024) – Two people were injured, and one was airlifted following a crash involving two cars east of Colorado Springs on Monday night, September 1. Colorado State Patrol responded to the collision at Hwy and Engleby Dr around 10:20 p.m. 

The crash involved one vehicle towing a trailer. The injured were transported to the hospital, with one person airlifted due to severe injuries. The westbound lanes on the highway were closed for several hours for investigation and rescue operations. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and a GoFundMe has been set up for the affected family.
