Westminster, CO – 1 Dead, 1 Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on 72nd Ave

Westminster, CO (September 2, 2024) – A fatal hit-and-run crash occurred Sunday night, September 1 resulting in one death and one serious injury. At about 8 p.m., Westminster Police responded to the scene on 72nd Ave, east of Federal Blvd, near Orchard Park. 

They found a 46-year-old woman dead and a 52-year-old man in serious condition. Both were transported to a local hospital. The vehicle fled but was later located, and a 19-year-old suspect was arrested around 9 p.m. Alcohol and drugs were not factors. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
