Albuquerque, NM (September 1, 2024) – A serious collision occurred on Central Ave at. Monroe St NE on Friday, August 30, at around 12:15 p.m. A bicyclist collided with a vehicle, critically injuring the pedestrian and heavily damaging the vehicle’s windshield.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue swiftly transported the injured pedestrian to UNMH. The severity of the injuries necessitated immediate critical care.

Central Ave was closed in both directions for investigation. Further details will be provided as the inquiry into the cause of the incident progresses.
